A fabulous opportunity to provide psychological assessment for pupils attending Together Trust education settings and external schools, this post offers the unique opportunity to join a newly established Psychology Service by working systematically in multi-disciplinary teams, promoting the emotional well-being, learning and skill development of children and young people.
Working collaboratively with teams in school environments you will provide highly specialist psychological consultation and direct assessment, followed by formulation and intervention where appropriate.
Key duties and responsibilities will include:
- Undertake highly specialist psychological assessments and needs analysis with internal and external services supported by the Trust.
- Use applied psychology in working closely with staff from a variety of disciplines, parents/ carers and students to develop supports and interventions that mitigate the barriers to learning experienced by students with Special Educational Needs and Disability.
- Work with the Trust Wide Clinical Psychologist, to contribute to the evaluation, monitoring and development of the service, contributing to research, auditing, and service evaluation.
- Support the development of the Trust’s Assistant Psychologists, and the development and facilitation of training placements for Education Psychologists in training.
- Provide, where necessary, highly specialist psychological reports, for key stakeholders and other practitioners within the wider professional network.
About you:
- Registered with the HCPC you will hold a doctorate in Educational Psychology.
- Be able to demonstrate significant post qualification experience supporting children and young people in education settings.
- Have significant experience of undertaking cognitive and psychological assessments, developing formulations and providing recommendations and support plans.
- Be able to deliver training to raise understanding and ability to support children and young people and raise quality of life.
- Be able to demonstrate significant experience in supporting/providing clinical supervision and ability for reflective practice.
- Have knowledge of current educational systems and of those associated with children and young people with special educational needs.
- Evidence significant experience of working with children or young people with complex needs including learning disabilities and/or autism spectrum conditions and/or with mental health needs.

Head of Mentoring
We are looking for an experienced, passionate, and highly skilled individual who is ready to help us increase our impact in the lives of young people and their families!
We are intending to build on our existing mentoring model that supports some of the most vulnerable and high-risk young people within the community. We aim to establish a fluid mentoring/coaching approach that works effectively across all our three streams of engagement (Schools, Community & Home). Main Purpose of this Role

The Role
The Youth Development Coordinator is responsible for the development and delivery of our youth development programme for young refugees and asylum seekers.

Job Description
To be responsible for coordinating, planning, and delivering our youthwork programme in Brent, ensuring you are focused on achieving our outcomes and impact for young refugees and asylum seekers – and working within our current strategy, youth development strategy and implementation plan. Our current youth work activities are:

2. To manage the Brent Youth Development Team
· Line manage Youth Development Workers
· Supervise volunteers to enable them to support activities with young people
· Assist the Head of Services with the recruitment and induction of staff and volunteers, ensuring young people’s participation in the process.
· To ensure excellent monitoring and evaluation
· To have a supportive and wellbeing-focused approach to line management of staff - ensuring regular one-to-one supervision meetings and annual Performance and Development Reviews.
3. To play a key role in the delivery of our weekly Youth Club and Advice and Support Hub. This includes working closely with the Head of Services, Casework Manager and Hub partners and subsequent follow-up actions relating to supporting young people access their rights and entitlements.
4. To play a key role in developing and co-ordinating youth participation work, working closely with young people and the Head of Services:
· To ensure the views of young people are central to the shaping and delivery of all youth activities in Brent.
· to be responsible for ensuring young refugees and asylum seekers are meaningfully involved in participation opportunities – or other relevant projects.
5. To be responsible for ensuring there are adequate volunteers/staff present to safely run each session/trip and to find staff cover in the case of illness or absence.
6. To identify, propose and with agreement from the Head of Services, develop and run new projects in line with our new strategy and implementation plan, meeting unmet need and with advice from young refugees and asylum seekers in Brent and surrounding areas.
7. To ensure targeted outreach to young asylum seekers and refugees, publicising projects creatively and appropriately, including at relevant schools and colleges in the local area.
8. To ensure excellent safeguarding practice, and always follow our Safeguarding Policy, reporting any Safeguarding incidents to the Designated Safeguarding Lead ad ensuring they are informed, and appropriate, timely action is taken.
9. To work with the Impact and Communications Manager to provide content (photos, videos, quotes, case studies) which is safe for and respectful of the young people we support, with the right permissions that can be used as part of communications to our supporters, on social media and as evidence of our work to funders.
10. Ensure activities in Brent are monitored and evaluated in line with the agreed protocols.
11. To build collaborative relationships with partners and referral organisations attending and organising partnership meetings as required.
12. Manage new referrals to the service alongside our Casework manager

Registered Manager responsibilities:

Job Title: Face to face counselling manager (SE Wales)

The face to face counselling manager (S E Wales) oversees We Stand’s new face to face counselling service for families in South East Wales. As the face to face counselling manager, you will be responsible for ensuring an effective service, recruiting and supporting a team of volunteer counsellors, co-ordinating referrals, and ensuring that clients receive high quality support.
Role Description and Key Responsibilities
Recruit and support volunteer counsellors:

Lead on the recruitment of volunteer face to face counsellors

Ensure that new counsellors are fully trained and inducted into the service

Provide ongoing supervision and support to volunteer counsellors, including ensuring that all counsellors are accessing clinical supervision.
Ensure that clients can access face to face counselling:

Oversee referrals to the service and conduct client assessments

Co-ordinate the face to face counselling timetable, ensuring new clients are matched with suitable counsellors

Work collaboratively with other We Stand service managers to provide support that is tailored to suit the needs of our clients
Ensure an effective face to face counselling service:

Ensure the service has effective internal systems and processes

Ensure service risks and safeguarding concerns are managed appropriately

Lead on quality assurance, evaluation and monitoring of the service, including writing reports

Our Mobile Night Workers work on four nights on, four nights off rota. Although these are long shifts, you will get four days off after, which can provide a great work life balance.

About the role:
As an Outreach Worker, your role will be to assist your allocated young people in tasks that will enable them to live independently. This support will involve advice, general help and moral support, financial assistance (advice about bill payments etc) and working with young people on completion of education awards (AQA). You will be expected to work with multiple agencies to deliver holistic packages of support.
This role includes travelling to various locations to carry out support sessions with young people.
You will be expected to provide key work sessions for young people as per their placement agreement. These sessions are to be structured so that the young person can be assisted in accessing local resources, budgeting, and assisting them with gaining appropriate life skills. Using outcomes stars as a tool and completing the progress on the interactive website.
You will be expected to keep a diary of all contact with each young person and professional and to complete Outcomes Star reports on the young person which are sent to placing workers. These reports contain information about the young person and the work that has been completed with them. It highlights areas of need to help to focus key work.
It will be necessary to attend meetings such as child protection conferences, review meetings and other meetings that are deemed necessary in providing the high-quality service that is expected by local authorities and stakeholders and to ensure service delivery meets young people’s needs. You will be offered support if required when attending these meetings.
