As Projects Officer: Neighbourhood Food Model you will lead on specific projects within the wider Neighbourhood Food Model. Your role will be to grow collaborations, facilitate groups and workshops, and coordinate action. You will be building alliances with local food growers, chefs, researchers, council officers and residents to build a better local food system in Walworth.
The Walworth Neighbourhood Food Model is an ambitious, long-term approach to tackling the root causes of food insecurity in our neighbourhood. It offers a vision for a network of complementary spaces and initiatives, to build social connection through food, develop local supply chains, and transform the local food economy. This is a key role with a significant level of responsibility, working in a small dynamic team, at a crucial time in the development of this ambitious programme.
Responsible for: Planning, organising, recruiting, facilitating and documenting a range of groups and collaborations that aim to transform Walworth’s food system.
You will need to be dedicated and passionate about neighbourhood food, and able to inspire others. You will need to be adaptable and relish uncertainty, and you will be creative and enjoy problem solving. You will also enjoy bringing some order to things by finding the right level of detail at which to project plan, and find personal satisfaction in being organised with good record keeping.
Contract length: 12 months
Salary: £29,903.50 per year.

Senior Youth Participation Officer
Fitzrovia Youth in Action is looking for an experienced, passionate and enthusiastic person for our Senior Youth Participation Officer role. If you feel like this is you, we would love to hear from you!
The post holder will coordinate and develop our new young people drop-in programme and additional youth action programmes, aimed at engaging local young people into the work of FYA. The successful candidate will oversee the development and delivery of the drop-in sessions, as well as deliver some youth led social action programmes. The role will include recruiting young people, engaging them in co-producing fun and creative activities and workshops which will take place at the drop-ins, as well as supporting them in planning and delivering the social action programmes.
Typically, sessions will occur Sundays (TBC) and young people from the ages 8 to 18 will attend. We are also planning to start a second drop-in session from September, which is likely to run on a Friday evening.
The post holder will support young people to plan some social action programmes directly, as well as support young people into other youth-led community action programmes at FYA.
Examples of projects include youth-led football tournaments, street parties and festivals and peer education activities.
This is an exciting opportunity for FYA as we are elated to have our first drop-in session at our Warren Centre, as we want to reach as many local young people as possible and provide opportunities of social action and support.

We are looking to take on a Capacity Building Training Officer to join our in-house training and development team which will form part of the wider Human Resources management function/team. Planning

External Training

Reporting
Responsible for ensuring that key outcome metrics are built into all training delivered and responsible for reporting and analysing results to provide clarity to management on the status of all trainees and volunteers learning on a regular basis.
The trainer remains responsible for the trainee until they attain competency in agreement with the supervisors.

About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a well-regarded and innovative project contributing to achieving good outcomes for some of the most vulnerable families in England and beyond whose sick children are being treated at Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital (GOSH.) We also provide an ‘open door’ service to our GOSH partners such as social workers and family support officers in our areas of expertise.
We offer this as either a Trainee Adviser or Adviser role depending on your current advice work experience. As this is a short-term contract, if you are not currently an experienced generalist adviser, we would still expect you to have some experience of delivering generalist advice. We will support you through the Citizens Advice adviser training programme whilst you build your skills to deliver high quality advice and casework to families with children who are patients at GOSH. We will train you to deliver holistic advice and in-depth casework support, particularly with benefits including appeals and also with housing and debt enquiries.
Being available onsite is an important aspect of this role and so this role is hybrid working. The exact split between remote/onsite working will be by agreement with the line manager and to meet the needs of the project which could change over time. As Safeguarding Lead, you will implement the model with a designated group of dioceses and cathedrals on a pilot basis. Subsequently, you will support the roll-out of the model across the Church to onboard dioceses and cathedrals that were not involved in the pilot. You will also provide the ongoing support to a specific group of dioceses and cathedrals.
Northern Region Safeguarding Lead (hybrid work arrangement) You will work with individual dioceses and cathedrals in the North of England. This role offers hybrid working options, working from home and from our office in Central London. This group of dioceses and cathedrals for the pilot includes Blackburn Cathedral, York Minster, the diocese of Newcastle, and both the Cathedral and diocese of Lincoln.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Working in partnership with a group of dioceses and cathedrals, the roles are responsible for co-ordinating and leading the operational implementation of the four work streams which comprise the overall IICSA Recommendations 1 & 8 and Regional Model Pilot Project:
1. IICSA Recommendation 1: the introduction and operation of the DSO (Diocese Safeguarding Officer) and the CSO (Cathedral Safeguarding Officer) roles, including the wider system changes required.
This will include the professional supervision and quality assurance of the work of the DSO/CSO roles, which will include:
Advice and guidance on individual cases and safeguarding-related situations and developments
Encouragement of curiosity about different hypotheses for understanding cases and safeguarding situations
Reflection on self, exploring what influences the CSO/DSO's perspectives and what impact safeguarding situations have on the CSO/DSO
Analysis, making connections with relevant research findings and theory
Quality assuring the work of the CSO/DSO, providing feedback and identifying professional development and support needs
[NB: A model of professional supervision has been selected and the Safeguarding Leads will be trained in the model].
2. Regional support model / Northern Region
For Regional Safeguarding Leads:
Development and piloting of a regional model of support
This will involve working with a cluster of dioceses and cathedrals collectively to enhance positive outcomes through, for example:
Joint working, sharing of resources and other mutual support arrangements
Joint commissioning of specific services
Peer auditing
Development of survivor engagement arrangements
Sharing of best practice
Group as well as individual supervision
Strengthening connections with other Church bodies and relevant services in the region
For Northern Safeguarding Leads:
Development and piloting of forms of support customised to the needs of individual dioceses and cathedrals
The Safeguarding Lead will be expected to promote creative approaches to practice development to achieve good safeguarding outcomes.
3. Quality Assurance development
Working with the Research and Evaluation Lead roles in the NST to support dioceses and cathedrals with the introduction and further development of the Church's draft national safeguarding standards and quality assurance framework. This will include contributing to the design of the independent auditing arrangements as required by IICSA Recommendation 8.
4. The safeguarding function and resource assessment
Clarifying the range of the safeguarding responsibilities of dioceses and cathedrals, what this means for different roles, and the structure and skill sets required for diocesan and cathedral safeguarding services. From this, developing an objective methodology for determining the resources that dioceses and cathedrals need to deliver safeguarding to a good standard.
5. Relationships with internal stakeholders in dioceses and cathedrals
The Safeguarding Lead will establish effective relationships with key stakeholders within the dioceses and cathedrals they are working with - in particular, their senior leadership teams and Diocesan Safeguarding Advisory Panels or equivalent in cathedrals. This will include providing evidence-based feedback in respect of the quality and capacity of safeguarding functions within the diocese and/or cathedral. This will highlight areas of strength, as well as areas needing development, including systemic vulnerabilities.
6. Relationship with external stakeholders
The Leadership teams of dioceses and cathedrals are responsible for the development of effective partnerships with external statutory and non-statutory bodies. The Safeguarding Lead will support the leadership teams within dioceses and cathedrals in the strengthening of relations with statutory and non-statutory organisations where necessary, including providing help to identify and remove obstacles to effective partnership working.
The roles will evolve during the course of the pilot stage.

Circumstances:
This role will include extensive national travel and the possibility that the locations you supervise may change as the pilot progresses into business as usual.
- A salary of £66,186 per annum plus age-related pension contributions between 8-15% of salary. We will also match any pension contributions you make up to an additional 3% of salary.
- 30 days annual leave plus three additional days

About the role
You will scope and track new and existing funding markets across Kent, write proposals and coordinate tender responses. Your key relationships will be with the service users, volunteers and colleagues at Mid Kent Mind and across the Mind network in England and Wales; commissioners, professionals across the wider social care arena; grant making bodies and trusts and funding partners drawn from the communities in which we serve.

Key responsibilities
· As our Business Development Manager you will be responsible for diversifying revenue streams, seeking grants, contracts, bids, and expanding services in order to ensure the impact and sustainability of the charity.
· You will be creating and implementing an income generation action plan and managing all areas of grant fundraising, including bid writing and tendering.
· Building strong relationships, internally and externally, is crucial to this role.
· You will line manage the Training Development Manager and seek to increase our revenue through training.
· You will be forming partnerships with organisations to enhance reach and resources.
· You will be collaborating closely with existing staff members and will be nurturing external relationships as well as managing a pipeline of opportunities to ensure growth and agility.
· You will be conducting market research to identify growth areas and tendering opportunities.
· You will be writing and presenting proposals and plans, guiding long-term objectives to meet the organisation’s needs.
