This post is advertised as an exciting opportunity for an experienced Advice Session Supervisor to consolidate their skills and experience or as a development opportunity for an advisor to train to become an Advice Session Supervisor within six months of starting in post. If applying as a trainee the starting salary will be on NJC Scale 6 - £33,194 for the first six months whilst undertaking the training.

The post holder will be required to work across all of our offices and outreaches in Southwark according to operational needs.

The role includes:

• Providing advice to the public and undertaking casework on social welfare law issues
• Supervising advice and gateway assessment sessions
• Supporting and supervising staff and volunteers

To be successful you will need:

• Recent experience of giving advice to the public. This should include having undertaken advice casework.
• Experience of undertaking the role of Advice Session Supervisor or to demonstrate the ability to undertake this role with training provided within 6 months of starting

Thames Reach’s Outreach teams operate across London and helps those who are rough sleeping to find routes away from the street. The teams respond rapidly and work flexibly to reach people. About the role:

The post holder will work within The Passage’s Community Services as a Complex Case Outreach Worker and will lead on case management for people experiencing homelessness who are presenting in the footprints in which the team operate and/or who are accessing the Resource Centre. The post-holder will support individuals with substance use support needs and/or mental health issues and will lead on work with clients who are experiencing alcohol and/or drug dependencies and who may also be experiencing mental health problems or other health or social care needs.

Main duties:

• To manage a caseload of clients presenting within the footprints in which the Engagement & Outreach service operate and individuals who are accessing The Passage Resource Centre. To support clients with complex needs, supporting them to identify and work towards recovery and away from homelessness.
• Carry out assessments, case management, support planning and the delivery of interventions for clients including those experiencing mental health and/or substance misuse issues who are multiply-disadvantaged in their homelessness.
• Provide assertive outreach and engagement with street-based service users presenting with complex needs and barriers to engagement. Carry out monthly street-based audits to inform reporting and analysis of service outcomes.
• Support clients who are rough sleeping or involved in day time activity in the footprints in which the team operate to end their homelessness by linking them in with appropriate internal and external support services relevant to their needs. To provide support to clients who are accommodated, but may require ongoing support in order to maintain this accommodation, linking them in to appropriate local services.

General responsibilities:

• In conjunction with your line manager to continuously develop the role to ensure that all tasks are being undertaken in an effective and appropriate manner which meets the strategic aims and objectives of The Passage.
• To participate in internal/external meetings as required, attend training events, conferences and other functions as necessary.
• To participate in regular supervision and annual appraisal, and help in identifying your own job-related development and training needs.

FearFree deliver services across the South West for victims of domestic abuse, those who harm and their families and victims of sexual violence and stalking. We provide responsive, victim focused and trauma informed support and this post is fundamental to ensuring service users, stakeholders and partners experience this in our daily delivery.

This post will be based in our Devon domestic abuse service and is an exciting opportunity to support the delivery of our services which include IDVA Support for high risk service users, Education and Recovery support for medium and standard risk, Behaviour Change Support for those who harm and support for children and young people who have witnessed domestic abuse and YPIDVA support for those in abusive intimate relationships.

We are seeking to recruit a highly skilled Key Worker for our Key Worker Service in East Berkshire. The role will be diverse and service user centred and would suit someone with significant experience in supporting young people and young adults with Autism and Learning Disabilities and their families.

The day to day work will involve a flexible approach to coordination and direct support for the young person and their family, as well as providing responsive communication at times of increased need. This is an exciting role which allows for the Key Worker to support families to navigate the system whilst advocating for them and ensuring that their voice is heard.

As the service is new there will be opportunities for collaboration and co-production and our vision is to provide young person and family centered support, whilst influencing system change to achieve better outcomes for more children,  young people and adults under the age of 25.

The service will be provided across the entire East Berkshire footprint covering: Slough, Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, Bracknell Forest.Although the team will be “virtual”, there will be frequent travel within and across the East Berkshire area, therefore being a car driver with access to a car is essential.

About the role:

As a Resettlement Worker and Domestic Abuse Specialist, you will work in person and remotely with clients who have support needs, in particular, those who are survivors of domestic abuse. In conjunction with other members of the Partnership, you will support our clients to engage with services and find accommodation solutions. You will work in a person-centered way to get the best prevention, relief and support outcomes for the client.

Main duties:

• To work with clients with support needs, to engage with their prevention, relief or advice goals by; Agreeing with them a support plan to deliver the actions identified in the Personalised Housing Plan. 
• Undertaking specific short term interventions to progress a client’s prevention or relief goals, including providing advice and support to enable individuals to improve their health and wellbeing. 
• Providing advice and signposting to support clients to access relevant housing and wider support services. 
• Working in partnership with RMG Caseworkers to deliver holistic housing and support service. 
• Providing support to clients to access private rented and supported accommodation options. 
• Referring to specialist internal and external support services as appropriate, including health, addiction and employment services.

General responsibilities:

• With your line manager, to continuously develop the role to ensure that all tasks are being undertaken in an effective and appropriate manner which meets the strategic aims and objectives of The Passage and the HSS Partnership. 
• To participate in internal/external meetings as required, and attend training events, conferences and other functions as necessary.

Aquarius is a charity that helps people and communities overcome the harm caused by alcohol, drugs and gambling. Right now, we’re looking for a self-confident and energetic individual with a good understanding of gambling, substance misuse and health related issues, to provide a vital support service for individuals with gambling related needs.

Working flexibly across the community and within multi-agency partnership settings on an outreach basis, we’ll rely on you to engage people in a variety of interventions, using a person-centred approach. A core part of the role will involve addressing holistic support needs that could include employment related issues, family work interventions, issues of exploitation, physical and emotional health, domestic abuse and support to engage in rehabilitation. Whatever it takes, in fact, to empower them to reduce risk, increase resilience and achieve positive outcomes.

To succeed, you’ll need significant experience of engaging effectively with clients in an addictions or social care setting. You’ll also need knowledge of primary, secondary and other outreach settings and a good understanding of the functional model. Used to liaising with voluntary and statutory agencies and health professionals, you have a flexible approach and lots of initiative. You also have good IT skills (particularly Microsoft Office) and are willing to travel throughout the area in order to get the job done.

You will hold a caseload of complex cases requiring a case co-ordination approach. Requiring you to complete all recording and case management administration for your caseload accurately and promptly,

• Providing screening, co-produced assessment, psychosocial interventions, integrated and outcome focussed care planning, after-care support, and onward transition to other services as required
• You’ll also need a flexible approach, excellent record keeping and report writing skills and a willingness to work flexibly across the community and within our multi-agency partnership settings, on an outreach basis.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our new service supporting Unpaid Carers across Lewisham to improve their health and wellbeing, and access support that meets their needs.

The team works with unpaid Adult Carers, Young Adult Carers and Young Carers, completing statutory and holistic assessments to understand people’s individual circumstances and level of need. You will carry out home visits and community meetings, co-produce support plans, and develop effective relationships with Unpaid Carers, families, and professionals.  

You’ll build on your local knowledge to signpost and facilitate access for Unpaid Carers to support services, including financial and benefit advice, housing, health and safety home systems, and leisure and social activities. You will also support the development of escalation plans so that Unpaid Carers are prepared for unforeseen circumstances that would impact negatively on ability to care.

Applicants should have relevant personal or professional experience of working with Unpaid Carers and/or vulnerable adults or children in a social care, health, education or voluntary and community sector. You’ll need a practical understanding of barriers faced by Unpaid Carers, and an awareness of cultural differences and access to services. Experience of working in mental health or dementia services would be an advantage.

You should be an excellent communicator and able to motivate and empower others. This is a full-time role.
