 About this key role

Working as part of a multi-agency team, we will count on you to lead by example, be the day-to-day expert within team, and be a positive role model to the team of caseworkers.  Using a strength-based approach, you will provide support, advice and advocacy for young people and their families regarding accommodation, working through person-centred support plans designed to promote choice and control for young people.  You will ensure, on a day-to-day basis, that all monitoring information and evidence is being recorded and collated correctly, and that you promote inter-agency collaboration in the assessment and planning process and include appropriate agencies in the delivery of the service. 

The delivery of a holistic support service, working solo or with colleagues as the situation dictates, is also a crucial element of this role, where you will provide practical guidance on issues such as social and housing support, ETE options, benefits work, debt advice and cleaning.  Promoting the value of lifestyle changes to the young people being supported and operating within clear professional boundaries are also key duties.

About this key role

As our Financial Wellbeing Coach, you will provide person-centred support to a caseload of service users who will either be serving community sentences or have been released from prison.  This will involve undertaking assessment and action planning with individual service users and creating a safe and trusting environment, using trauma-informed practice to successfully facilitate a supportive and constructive relationship with service users.

We will also count on you to deliver a range of interventions to service users which contribute towards the achievement of prescribed outcomes, and to work with service users flexibly, meeting and undertaking interventions in a range of locations across a wide geographical area.  Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with external agencies and working towards contractual targets and outcomes within agreed timescales and in line with specified quality standards are also vital aspects of the role.

Rose Voucher Project Officer, Southwark Rose Vouchers for Fruit and Veg Project

The Rose Vouchers for Fruit & Veg Project in Southwark has been successfully supporting families with young children to ensure fruit and vegetables are a part of their everyday diet since 2018. As we enter the seventh year of the project, we are now looking for a new member of staff to join the 1st Place Rose Voucher Project team and support our work in delivering the project, while measuring its wider impact on families. The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with stroke survivors and their families to support them following stroke. We are looking for an innovative, passionate and professional individual with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills to join our Stroke Recovery Service based in East Kent and West Kent.

The service aims to identify and address the needs of stroke survivors and carers across the stroke pathway, by providing a range of innovative support solutions, supporting them to meet their desired outcomes. Reporting to the Stroke Association Service Delivery Coach, the Stroke Association Support Coordinator will:

· Support new stroke survivors and their carers from hospital discharge into the community.

· Provide personalised information, advice and support.

· Be accountable for volunteers, so experience of recruiting, training and managing volunteers would be an advantage.

About the Role:

As our Safety and Compliance Officer, you will ensure young people taking part in Scouting are safe, by working with local volunteers, line managers and specialists to ensure that national policy, procedures and guidance are implemented at a local level. 

As the Safety and Compliance Officer you will have:

• Good knowledge of relevant health & safety legislation and regulation
• Level 3 IOSH/NEBOSH accredited qualification
• Experience in delivering health & safety advice
• Experience of conducting health & safety audits and identifying risk
• Experience in office administration, using Information Technology, analysing/interpreting data and composing reports
• The ability to assimilate large amounts of data and information and provide a summary of key implications for others

Key responsibilities as our Safety and Compliance Officer:

• Conducting health and safety audits in line with the Scouts’ Safety Quality Framework, identifying areas of non-compliance and taking appropriate action to rectify these
• Providing members with specialist technical advice and support in the area of safety, outdoor activities and adventure
• Assisting the National Safety Manager in developing the Scouts’ safety rules, policies and guidance and support in line with industry and external best practice
• Researching, planning and preparing proposals for changes to rules, policies and guidance relating to safety and outdoor and adventure, ensuring they are in line with current Government guidance and legislation
• Using management information to inform best practice
• Working with local volunteer line managers to ensure the delivery of safe scouting to members, through compliance, quality assurance, and data insights
• Ensuring a high standard of resource materials, for members and delivering training
• Ensuring responsive and genuine engagement with internal and external stakeholders which will provide both challenge and support
• Any other duties as reasonably requested by the National Safety Manager and/or other Safe Scouting Management Team, commensurate with the general level of responsibility of the job

About this key role

ROLE OVERVIEW

Working closely in a small and dedicated team, this is a critical position that will ensure the recruitment, engagement and progression of women who take part in our empowerment programmes. 

Location: SHED co-working space for 2 days a week or at venues in London for our core programme with women and option to work remotely 1 day a week 

Salary: £22,800 for 3 days a week (£38,000 FTE) plus a 5.25% staff pension subject to employee contribution of 1.75% 

Hours: Normal working hours are 9:30am-5:30pm 

Holiday: 15 days per annum (FTE 25 days)

The primary purpose of this role is to ensure:

• Effective outreach for recruitment onto our programmes
• That women’s programmes run smoothly and that their participants are motivated and supported to complete them through to graduation
• That those women who require 1-1 time with you are provided with this to ensure their safety and to make any referrals to external agencies where required
• All those we work with for the benefit of women on the programmes are engaged eg. short work placement hosts, mentors and venues for activities
• That evaluation data is collected and provided to evaluators/ researchers who edit final annual reports for programmes

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Timetabling online and face-to-face outreach to ensure women are recruited onto programmes in a timely way
• Being the key safeguarding lead at Friday workshops and ensuring that you make 1-1 time for any women who require it (alerting the Head of Operations and People and the CEO and wider team any issues or concerns that need addressing)
• Liaising with the Programmes Coordinator on the timely production of workshop materials and any other course content useful for participants
• Maintaining excellent relationships with workshop providers
• Ensuring that the Programmes Coordinator is across needs for any 1-1 therapy referrals between women and our float of freelance therapists
• Conducting evaluation surveys with women at the start, end and 6 months after they graduate and ensuring all evaluation data is provided to the freelancer responsible for collating the impact of our programmes annually in a final report, as well as providing any data required by the CEO for grant reports
• Signing off on mentor-mentee matches with the Partnerships Manager who recruits mentors
• Working closely with the Partnerships Manager to ensure they are across which kinds of short expenses/ paid work placements with employers women want to access

PERSON SPECIFICATION

You will be someone who is naturally warm/ a people person, compassionate and enabling, and who also has fantastic project management/ organisational skills. You may come from a senior youth worker background or other front line organisations working with young vulnerable adults.

Essential:

• Substantial senior experience working with young, including vulnerable, adults
• Proven track record of project/ programme management experience to deliver successful learning/ educational events/ activities for young people
• Creative thinker with experience of conducting successful outreach for young people
• Experience of safeguarding with vulnerable individuals
• Exceptional people and relationship-building skills with those from a range of different backgrounds eg ranging from young women for our programmes to employers and other stakeholders who engage with our work and participants 
• Excellent written and verbal communication 
• Highly organised multi-tasker, with a personality that works calmly under pressure and with own initiative
