Thames Reach runs projects and services that help to end homelessness in London. We work directly with homeless people on the streets and in hostels. We work to prevent vulnerable people from becoming homeless. We help formerly homeless people get their lives back on track and help people find work and access training and volunteering opportunities.

About this role…
Every role at Thames Reach is about ensuring that the users of our services find and sustain a decent home, develop supportive relationships and lead fulfilling lives. On our structured Traineeship scheme, you’ll gain first-hand experience and on-the-job training in what we do. You’ll be expected to work full time on a rota basis. Our placements involve a range of working patterns such as shifts, including evenings and weekends, night work in our fast-paced Rapid Response Outreach team and Monday to Friday 9-5 roles.
The key features are:
• A thorough induction, followed by two six-month placements at our projects, one of which will be hostel-based.
• With supervision and training from experienced staff to help our clients to get off and stay off the street with access to appropriate services.
• Learning about and assisting with necessary administration and record-keeping.
The kind of thing we’re looking for:
• Compassion, determination and a desire to play your part in ending street homelessness.
• Good basic admin and IT skills.
• Good team working skills
• The resilience and commitment to work in a challenging, ever-changing environment.
• An understanding of street homelessness and its impact on people’s lives – applicants who have experienced homelessness are particularly encouraged to apply.

• A generous pension contribution - we contribute 6.5% to your pension when you contribute 1.5%.

We are seeking two Specialist Community Support Workers to join one of our supported living services in Blackrod, Bolton. We aim to provide care and support and promote independence and inclusion within the local community through methods including positive behaviour support.
We aim in to empower the individuals we support to take control of their own lives and gain greater independence, by teaching communication, choice and fulfilment.
Working Pattern – 37.5 hours each week worked over a 7-day rota which includes sleep-ins.
Salary - £21,283 (£10.91ph) rising to £23,412 (£12.01ph) from April 2024
A Sleep-in payment of £87.50 per sleep applies rising to £96 from April 2024, based on 1 sleep per week, excluding holiday entitlement, can add an additional £4,992 .An enhanced payment is also paid for weekend hours of+25% hourly rate.
Holiday entitlement starts from 27 days holiday plus 8 statutory bank holidays.

We are seeking Community Support Workers (Positive Behaviour Support),to join a new short break residential home in Wythenshawe. Working within the residential home and out in the community, we aim to upskill and increase the resilience of children and their families.
The residential home benefits from excellent public transport links and convenient access to community resources. Successful candidates will receive extensive training and on-the-job coaching from a well-qualified clinical team, Registered Manager, and Senior management team. Additionally, staff employed within the service will have the opportunity to receive formal Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) training and coaching from qualified behavioural specialists.
Working Pattern – 37.5 hours per week, worked flexibly over five days. Weekend working will be required.
Salary – £21,283 (£10.91) rising to £23,412 (£12.01) from April 2024.
