Job description

The post holder will work in line with the requirements, specification and contract details of the Violence and Abuse contract and will closely follow the performance indicators conditions.

You will provide a high-quality frontline service to victims of domestic abuse, delivering a service to those at highest risk. You will contribute to interventions and help design a plan to protect victims and any children, whilst maintaining an independent role on behalf of your client, ensuring their safety at all times. You will also have an understanding around multi-agency partnership structures and work within a multi-agency setting which will include participation at the MARAC.

A CAADA IDVA training certificate is desireable however you are required have experience in a similar role along with an understanding of domestic abuse and the impact this has on women and children. You will have demonstrable experience of working with vulnerable people and managing a caseload and knowledge. You will also have theoretical, practical and procedural knowledge of civil and criminal justice remedies for victims of domestic abuse and their children. Excellent communication, negotiation and advisory skills, both written and verbal are essential for when interacting with a range of agencies and individuals.
