We have an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking to progress their managerial career in the homelessness sector.
We are looking to recruit a Deputy Manager to join work at the Haringey Assessment Centre. This flagship service has just moved to a new building (Mulberry Junction) that it shares with the newly opened Haringey Homeless Hub.
The service is being developed as a model of a Psychologically Informed Environment, and offers support in a flexible and sensitive way, taking account of the emotional needs of our clients.
In this pivotal role you will support the Service Manager in ensuring the smooth daily running of the service and deputise in their absence for all matters relating to the management of the service. This will involve taking a lead on client support, void management and throughput, health and safety responsibilities, rota management, line management of staff, and building relationships with external partners.
To succeed, you will have experience of staff management or be able to demonstrate an ability supervise, motivate and lead staff through periods of change. You will also have experience of working with vulnerable homeless or disadvantaged people and people living with complex needs. In addition, you will have a sound understanding of the issues facing people who are experiencing problems with drug and alcohol use as well as a good knowledge of the range of support and treatment options available.
