This is an important and senior new role within a growing business development team and an important time for Solace. We have a strong track record of working in partnership with a wide range of organisations across sectors, notably women and girls, housing & homelessness, criminal justice, social care, welfare and health. We work with second tier organisations as well as delivery providers and are increasingly raising our voice about issues that directly affect the rights and services that women and children have access to, calling out injustice and working to end violence and abuse against them.
We are therefore formalising our presence in the public affairs arena and this is your chance to influence policymakers, system change, and ensure the voices of women are fully represented. As an experienced manager, and feminist, you will lead a small team including a new post of Public Affairs Manager and report to the Director of Business Development. This is your chance as drive forward a brand new public affairs agenda, working alongside partners, second tier organisations to work for change and ensure all voices are represented.
Solace is an innovative, exciting, grass roots charity working across London. We offer great employee benefits including three per cent employer pension contribution, generous holiday entitlement and a focus on learning and development. You will be joining a team of committed and inspiring individuals whose dedication has saved the lives of thousands of women, men and children in the capital.
Solace values diversity, promotes equality and challenges discrimination. We encourage and welcome applications from people of all backgrounds. We particularly welcome applicants from black minority and ethnic communities.
