Who are Solidarity Sports?
We believe in the transformative power of play. Our goal is to nurture the confidence of every child we work with and help them develop valuable skills for life. 90% of our children are referred through Social Services and refuges for children fleeing domestic violence. Through our work, we have seen hundreds of children recovering from trauma become a part of our family through our varied activities. Our projects nurture the wellbeing of children and improve their confidence. We believe that every child deserves happiness.
What do we do?
Established in 2007, we first focused on sports, but since then we’ve added healthy eating initiatives, arts activities, educational group trips, mentorship programmes, and holidays in the UK and abroad. What binds these programmes is a commitment to creating a safe, open-minded, inclusive and loving environment, where we can play together and create happy memories.
Our Culture – everyone at Solidarity Sports is a CEO
C – Compassion, we care deeply about our families and children.
E – Excellence, we strive to do everything to the best of our abilities.
O – Ownership, we are proactive with our tasks and take responsibility when we make mistakes.
We envelop an open, transparent culture where we celebrate our achievements but also learn from our mistakes. We have adopted a CEO working model, where everything we do embodies these three principles.
