Do you value the importance of how nature and wildlife can provide a positive impact on our physical and mental health? Are you experienced in connecting those who are experiencing or suffering from such health concerns to nature, to help improve their health and wellbeing?

We are looking for x3 project officers to fill our Somerset Nature Connection Project Officer vacancies, whose focus will be in the Quantock, Mendip or Blackdown area.

You will be experienced in working with diverse communities, including adults and young people who have experienced, or are vulnerable to mental health concerns. A good knowledge of the benefits of the natural environment and understanding of the health care sector is necessary. Best working practise in health and safety is an important aspect of this role, and skill in producing robust risk assessments, experience of safeguarding and protection issues and legislation is essential.

The successful candidates will be based in either Taunton or Chedder, but you will also need to travel to locations around the county, including, due to the rural nature of Somerset, by using your own car.

This is an exciting time to join Somerset Wildlife Trust as we are developing our future strategy under the leadership of a new Chief Executive. You will be part of a dynamic engagement team and a well-respected conservation charity working to ensure Somerset remains one of the most wildlife-rich and habitat-diverse counties in Britain.

All applications must be received by 5pm, Wednesday 18 November.
Interviews will be held in the week commencing Monday 30 November via Zoom.
