Are you passionate about supporting survivors of trafficking into hope-filled futures? Do you have leadership and charity management experience which will enable you to drive forward our Day 46 confidence and employability service for survivors of trafficking? Then you may be our new Day 46 Programme Manager in sunny Birmingham!
This is a unique role funded by the Big Lottery and Peoples Postcode Trust at a pivotal time for the Sophie Hayes Foundation. Since we started our Day 46 Employability Programme in February 2016, demand has grown for the programme across England. This role will gradually develop our Day 46 employability service across Birmingham, the Midlands and regions of the North West and North East of the country, growing the quality and reach of our workshops, coaching and placement programme for survivors of trafficking. You will be the face of our Midlands operation and will play an important leadership role for the charity, leading the local Birmingham team and volunteers.
This is a role designed for someone who wants to make a tangible difference, a natural leader who isn’t afraid of getting stuck in to drive success in what we do. You will be a great partner to our London-based CEO, bringing challenge, creativity, efficiency, commitment and action-orientation to make vision possible. You will have management and leadership experience, having played a key role in a charity before and managed other people in the past – with a strategic perspective, able to balance detail orientation with big picture thinking. You will also be a skilled trainer, teacher or facilitator, able to coach and develop others. You will be naturally persuasive, able to engage and influence stakeholders, adept at securing funding, investment and buy in for ideas. We run mostly women-only programmes and work in many female-only locations so you will need to be female to complete the tasks required in this role.
