Reporting to the CEO

Responsible for: Manchester Workshop Coordinator & Coaching Coordinator

Additonal days to be offered in accordance with future funding

 

As the Sophie Hayes Foundation embarks on an exciting phase of growth and development,supporting moew women survivors of Human Trafficking, the Employability Programme Workshops Supervisor, will become a valued member of the organisation’s new Senior Management Team

The right candidate will focus on growing our programme across Manchester and the North, through effective and productive collaborations.

Detailed Role Description

  1. Manage and develop the programme across Manchester and the North, by building partnerships with other NGO’s and referral partners, resourcing, equipping and training facilitators and co-ordinating programmes
  2. Effectively and efficiently manage budgets 
  3. Manage all KPI’s, supporting funding reports and ensuring correct reporting of programme outputs and outcomes. 
  4. Continuously improve the programme through learning from feedback. 
  5. Ensure our survivors, partners and volunteers are engaged, motivated and ‘have a voice’ to influence and shape our programme design. 
  6. Set the organisation’s Manchester delivery strategy and support its implementation through staff, volunteers and partners
  7. Build relationships and source long term, broad impacting relationships with businesses and training institutions, in partnership with the Workshops and Coaching Coordinators
  8. Support the CEO and Fundraising Manger in securing funding to ensure long-term sustainability– this includes infrastructure for programmes (e.g. travel and materials cost) alongside further funding that may expand the programme.
  9. Supervise and manage core team members and direct reports, with the objective of growing individual and group capabilities, skills and resources.
  10. Consistently work with and encourage the growth of leadership volunteers in order to increase organisation capacity and capabilities

Person Specification:

Essential

  1. Minimum 3 years’ experience of successful programme management in the UK charity sector
  2. Educated to degree level or equivalent, or the ability to demonstrate competence through experience
  3. Experience of working to, and meeting KPI’s
  4. Experience of proactively researching and engaging current and prospective partners
  5. Knowledge of best practice in programme management
  6. Outstanding communication skills and the ability to tailor written and verbal content and style to a range of audiences.
  7. Ability to work under pressure and deliver outcomes to tight deadlines
  8. Strong IT skills (Blackbaud Etapestry or similar CRM systems etc. Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook,)
  9. Ability to work on own initiative as well as a key member of a team
  10. Flexible and proactive approach and attitude
  11. Enthusiasm and drive to make things happen
  12. Ability to work occasionally outside of normal office working hours
  13. Supportive of a small but fast paced team 
  14. Supportive of non-Manchester locations

Desirable

  1. Knowledge and understanding of the human trafficking and modern-day slavery sector
  2. Experience of using social media and digital communication tools
