About the Role
This fundraiser will work closely with senior academics in the Humanities Division. The post will focus primarily on funding for posts, scholarships and access and outreach in the academic faculties as well as securing support for the activities of the Cultural Programme and Schwarzman Centre for the Humanities. An interest and appreciation for the arts and humanities is essential.

Primary responsibilities

Experience

About the role
The Technical Expert works alongside Sightsavers’ DID-IE TO45 team to coordinate and support implementing partner organisations to successfully implement approved activities. The post-holder will liaise with partners to support effective planning and strengthen collaboration with district level educational officials, the department of social services and relevant authorities.
Advocating for disability inclusion and inclusive education with relevant authorities and on behalf of Sightsavers. Major Gifts Manager, International Fundraising
Position Objective:
To solicit major gifts (£5,000 and above) to support PETA’s international programmes and campaigns.
To build and advance relationships with PETA entities’ major donors and prospects.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop a strategy for international for major gifts fundraising
- Manage and maintain a portfolio major gift donors and prospects, across PETA international entities
- Effectively steward donors and prospects
- Develop personal engagement plans for donors, using knowledge and insights to plan appropriate communications
- Solicit major financial contributions from targeted donors
- Manage a pipeline of prospects, creating engaging opportunities for donors to increase their giving to a higher level
- Acknowledge, thank and recognise donors appropriate to their level of support, and ensure restricted gifts are appropriately allocated
- Maintain accurate records on PETA entities’ databases with relevant information and research
- Work with the prospect researcher to obtain useful information, helping make appropriate asks

HCT are now seeking to appoint a Director of Development to lead and deliver a trust-wide strategic approach to fundraising, in alignment with organisational needs and priorities. The director will develop and lead a high performing team and will be responsible for growing income from a range of sources, including trusts and grants, individual giving and developing a philanthropy programme based on a portfolio of designated funds to support strategic projects and ongoing revenue funding. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:
- Significant experience in fundraising, including developing and implementing successful development strategies and securing income from a wide range of sources.
