The role
As Partner Engagement Manager you will promote and develop the work of Family Fund in its reach to families. You’ll also contribute to its profile within the disability sector in Wales and with key Government/political stakeholders.
You will proactively work with a wide range of public, private and third sector organisations. Your goal will be to ensure Family Fund’s strategy is understood, and that mutually beneficial relationships are formed. In addition, you will seek out opportunities which allow Family Fund to achieve its key priorities, deliver added value for funders, and secure positive outcomes for our beneficiaries.
You will be acknowledged as a senior Family Fund representative across the disability sector, deputising for the Group CEO, or Directors on committees and at events as required.
Finally, you will build effective partnerships and proactively develop activities with key organisations across public, private and third sectors.

- Promoting the support offered by Family Fund to support demand generation, including targeted work in relation to our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion objectives.

- Engage in sector working groups and consortia to help secure improved support for families raising disabled children.
About you
For this role you will need to have experience of presenting to external stakeholders and representing an organisation in a professional capacity. You’ll also need experience of managing budgets and delivering projects.
To be successful in this role you will need to be self-motivated and be able to engage positively with different teams. You must be flexible, adaptable and resilient to work demands and change. This post is home based with regular travel.

As part of this work, our Insights Team generates actionable insights to inform and deliver the Trust’s programmes of work, and the Research and Policy Assistant is integral to this.
We are looking for a Research and Policy Assistant to contribute to and support the Trust’s research, evaluation and policy monitoring activity. This includes collecting and communicating research and policy evidence and information, to inform the development of the Trust’s current and potential programmes of work.
An understanding of different types of research methods and excellent communication skills are essential for this role. Knowledge of the barriers experienced by disabled people and those living with mental health conditions as well as an understanding of local and national policy context are welcomed.

Contract terms:
- This role is 12 months fixed-term contract, and we welcome applications looking for full time hours (37.5hrs per week) or
- 2 x Part-Time to work on a job share basis covering full-time hours.
- We offer a flexible start between 8am and 9.30am Monday to Friday.

Summary of key duties:
Collecting research evidence and policy information
- Contributing to desk-based research: gathering, analysing, and synthesising secondary research studies relevant to the Trust’s work.
- Contributing to policy monitoring: gathering, interpreting, and synthesising information about national and local policy relevant to the Trust’s work.
- Supporting other elements of the Research & Policy Team’s research, monitoring and evaluation activity where needed, including research and evaluation design, research and evaluation activity, and data analysis.
Communicating research and policy evidence
- Communicating desk-based research and policy evidence: collating and summarising key evidence to share with a range of audiences, both internal and external, in a range of formats and contexts.
- Working with the Research and Policy Team to contribute to written reports, policy position statements, and evidence reviews in support of the Trust’s programmes of work.
- Supporting other elements of the Research & Policy Team’s dissemination activity where needed, including at events to share research findings.
Knowledge and experience:
- An understanding of different types of research data and data collection methods.
- Ability to source, collate and analyse research and policy evidence from a range of sources, including an ability to discern the quality and relevance of those sources.
- Excellent and flexible communication skills, able to communicate information at varying levels of detail in different formats to different audiences.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

Key Responsibilities
As a Building Safety Officer, you will oversee the delivery of property related safety servicing programmes ensuring that customers are safe, and that we meet and exceed our landlord statutory requirements.
You will ensure compliance with all current legislation relating to Building Safety (gas, fire, electrical, water hygiene, asbestos, lift) whilst having due regard to relevant codes of practice and best practice.
You will lead in the regular monitoring and analysis of statutory compliance performance and the production of statutory compliance related management reports as required.
You will provide compliance administration support to the Head of Asset Management & Development, monitor renewal dates for services and Instruct approved suppliers to undertake service visits when required where Hft holds responsibility of compliance.
You will also be responsible for maintaining Hft’s compliance systems and ensuring compliance certificates and Risk Assessments are completed and filed in Hft’s agreed location.
Who are you?
-You will have an awareness or experience of supported housing, ideally for people with learning disabilities
-You will have experience in housing management or Maintenance and/or Building Compliance, with a proven knowledge and experience in building safety and all aspects of H&S.
-You will have knowledge of social housing issues, equality and diversity, fire safety and understanding of Building Compliance
-You will have the ability to work under pressure and adhere to tight deadlines but maintaining high levels of accuracy and attention to detail
