Job description

Volunteers are vital and valued members of our team here at SLRA, supporting the staff team with roles including advice giving, supporting groups and activities, running ESOL classes and cooking lunches.

Our Volunteer Coordinator will lead on the development of our volunteering programme, working closely with the wider staff team to ensure a positive experience for all our volunteers. The Coordinator will be responsible for the recruitment, induction and ongoing support of our volunteers with a particular focus on developing opportunities and appropriate support for volunteers who have lived experience of the immigration or asylum system.

The role is fast-paced and varied. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, confident communicating with people from a range of backgrounds, and have a good understanding of the needs and issues facing migrant communities.
