SNAAP support families who have children with any special need or disability living in the Canterbury District. We provide a wide range of leisure activities to disabled children and information and support to their parents and carers. At the heart of SNAAP lies our fundamental belief in informed parental choice, empowering parents to access the very best services and support to ensure that their children achieve their goals in life.
Stay & Play is our after school drop in session, by attending this you give parents the chance to network with other parents whilst their children are being looked after. It’s a lovely busy club and we desperately need more volunteers to manage the number of families now attending. The children and young people attending this club have a range of disabilities and diagnosis.
Volunteers who apply for a volunteering role are subject for a DBS check as well as needing to complete safeguarding training. Other opportunities for training may be available during your time with us. Many of our volunteers are hired as staff after some time in the volunteer role
