Hours: 35 hours per week

Salary: £32,000 per annum

Our client is recruiting for a Event Manager join their team.

The Role

You will play a key role as a significant contributor to our income generation through the delivery of an exciting and varied portfolio of events, including fundraising dinners, sporting challenges and virtual events, our high profile annual awards ceremony and supporting external events that fundraise for us.

Springboard events must strive to raise the profile of The Springboard Charity and what we do to both stakeholders and potential partners and trainees, contributing to the strategic objectives, and supporting the long term sustainability of the organisation.

A day & month in the life of the Event Manager….

· This role is part of the Marketing and Events team, based in central London and reports into the Marketing and Events Partner. We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Event Manager with a genuine passion for fundraising for charity an in creating memorable and high quality events.

· As the Event Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery of a high-quality annual portfolio of events that inspire, motivate, and develop support for the charity.

· You will project manage and deliver events from conception through to completion, ensuring that the agreed KPIs and ROI are achieved.

· The Event Manager runs our Fundraising Committee and supporting sub groups to enthuse and coordinate our volunteer committee members, getting the best out of their experience, contacts and time.

· You will liaise with and negotiate with suppliers to receive in-kind donations for events, ie; venue hire, production services, food, drink and entertainment, always seeking to keep our outgoings low and fundraising potential high.

· You will ensure that income potential from all fundraising activities is maximised, continuously seeking new opportunities.

· You will collaborate closely with colleagues in Business Development to ensure that we are living up to the expectations of our sponsors and business partners.

· You will evaluate each event and provide a report on all aspects of the event, analysing the efficacy and value of the event, what can/should be changed and whether the event should be repeated.

· Due to the nature of the role, you will be flexible with regular travel, evening work and occasional overnight stays required.

This job is for you if you have…

• Experience of delivering and managing successful, profit-making events

• Experience of budget setting, budget management and delivering an efficient return on investment

• Ability to create and deliver operational plans using a GANNT chart or similar, with an eye on the bigger picture, as well as minute operational detail

• Experience of successfully working to deadlines and targets

• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders both internally and externally

• Ability to negotiate well

• Excellent administrative and organisational skills

• Presentation and report writing skills

Ideally you will….

• Have previous experience within the charity sector

• Previous experience of using the Salesforce System
