Job description

St Catharine's College warmly invites applications for a new Development Officer to join our Alumni and Development Office (ADO).

The post holder will work in a busy and demanding environment as the Alumni and Development Office works to engage the College community and successfully complete the present campaign.

The primary responsibilities of this role are to:

• Provide support and assistance for the Development Director and the busy ADO team.

• Work closely with the Development Director on major gift fundraising and managing the Campaign, in their capacity as her Executive Assistant.

• Administer the College stewardship plan.

• Co-ordinate the work of the Alumni Campaign Advisory Group.

The role will appeal to someone who has already started their career in fundraising and who is passionate about higher education and wishes to develop their skills in a mature and highly successful College Development and Alumni Office.

Our ideal candidate will be educated to degree level and have an understanding of why donors give and what their needs are in order to connect and develop relationships with them, with the confidence to make phone calls to talk about money, personal details and confidential College matters.
