Hours / Tenure: 36 hours per week (Full time) initially on a 2 Year Fixed Term Contract (potentially renewable)
As the Centre Lead, you will be responsible for shaping, leading and developing a broad team of staff and volunteers who deliver learning opportunities via our brand-new state of the art Centre for Awareness and Response to End of Life Care (CARE), due to open towards the end of this year. You will excel at creating and overseeing a broad programme of learning opportunities, while developing strategic partnerships within and beyond the hospice, that support the delivery and funding of the programmes.
We are not necessarily looking for candidates immersed in palliative care, however, to be successful you will need to be passionate about end of life care issues and be keen to see societal change, alongside the development of services and professionals involved in their delivery. It is just as important to us that you are a strong team player, someone who is innovative, creative, and up for a challenge.
You will believe in the value of learning as a means of transforming care and services and ultimately the experience of those using them. Your experience with establishing and developing a new exciting service or similar, will be key to this role, in addition to having extensive experience of working in an education/training provider context. You will be skilled at establishing an effective team and have knowledge of quality assurance methods relating to the achievement of training outcomes and improvements in clinical practice.
