Working closely with the Centre Lead, you will develop an aspirational programme of learning that is recognised in the sector and beyond, as being both innovative and relevant in meeting the current and future needs locally, nationally and internationally. You will support the development of a competent and confident hospice workforce by providing/facilitating effective learning, while ensuring the quality of all learning available via the Centre. Your expertise will go a long way in supporting organisational objectives associated with upskilling our workforce, through the provision of specialty training programmes covering dementia, heart failure and frailty.
To be successful you will need to be passionate about end of life/palliative care issues and be keen to see societal change, alongside the development of services and professionals involved in their delivery. It is just as important to us that you are competent with information technology, flexible, and able to adapt your teaching to meet the needs of the learners
You will believe in the value of learning as a means of transforming care and services, and ultimately the experience of those using them. You will be skilled with managing staff and supervising their practice, and have knowledge of quality assurance methods relating to the achievement of training outcomes and improvements in clinical practice. You will possess a good level of business acumen including an understanding of commercial opportunities, and be able to set relevant learning objectives and design effective training programmes for practitioners at all levels.
