Managing a portfolio of shops across East Suffolk you will be responsible for maximising income and profitability for the Hospice through our retail portfolio. You will be joining the retail team at an exciting time of change and growth, we are looking to recruit a creative, dynamic individual who will be forward thinking to ensure our portfolio meets the ever changing world of ‘charity retail’
Area: To manage and support our retail outlets north of Ipswich and Waveney
St Elizabeth Hospice are here for individuals who are living with progressive or life-limiting illnesses wherever we are needed; in their home, in the community or at the in-patient unit at our Ipswich hospice. Last year we supported 3,185 patients ranging from 14 years old and upwards, and we have to generate over 70% of our funding ourselves, and this crucial role will help us to achieve this.
One of the main lines of income for the Hospice comes through our Retail Division.
Part of your remit will be to drive sales and profitability through the performance of your own team so you should have a proven track record in developing people and business in a multi-site environment. You should also have excellent merchandising skills along with a practical hands-on management style. You will have the ability to lead, motivate and inspire the team with strong communication, planning and organisational skills. In addition decision making and problem solving are essential to this role.
Successful candidates must have full driving licence and access to own transport due the nature of the role.
