Deputy Home Care Manager
St Elizabeth’s Centre, near Bishops Stortford in Hertfordshire provides registered residential and respite care services with nursing support for over 100 adults with severe epilepsy, learning disabilities and associated neurological disorders.
Position: Deputy Home Care Manager
Location: Much Hadham, Hertfordshire (commutable from Bishops Stortford, Harlow, Hertford and surrounding areas)
Job type: Full Time, Permanent, 2 permanent, plus 1 temporary positions
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 9.00am-2.45pm or 2:15pm-9:45 pm. On a one to one basis you may be required to work a 9.00am to 5pm shift.
Salary: £21,162 to £23,889 per annum

About the role:
We are looking to recruit three enthusiastic and motivated Deputy Home Care Managers who will undertake care duties and in addition monitor and enforce standards, leading by example at all times. There are two full time permanent posts plus a temporary post for up to one year, to cover maternity leave.

The successful candidates will have experience of working with people with learning difficulties in either a care or residential setting, understand the importance of working to individual care plans and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Given our rural location, we operate a subsidised transport scheme: Pick-ups include Harlow Playhouse, Harlow Town Station, Sawbridgeworth, Bishops Stortford, Thorley. Additionally, a number of staff choose to organise ‘car shares’ with colleagues to and from work.
