Gas Engineer

£40,160 PER ANNUM

Are you an experienced Gas Engineer, looking for an opportunity to work across a single site?

About the role

At an exciting time of growth and expansion within our Estates and Facilities team, we are looking to recruit a skilled Gas Engineer to provide high quality, efficient yet effective in-house gas servicing and breakdown repairs to domestic appliances across St Elizabeth’s.

Reporting directly to the Head of Facilities, you will be responsible for carrying out domestic heating and plumbing repairs across our 60-acre site along with installing new heating systems and servicing existing flue and combination boilers, ensuring they meet regulations and are fit for purpose.

As part of the wider Facilities team you will also be required to carry out traditional repair and maintenance duties from time to time including, handling materials, maintenance requests whilst ensuring all associated documentation is completed and accounted for.

About You

To be successful in this position you will need a relevant ACS Gas Qualification (CCN1 – Core Domestic Gas & Safety, CKR1- Domestic Gas Cooking Appliances, CENWAT, CPA1) along with the relevant certification for the repair, diagnoses and maintenance of gas heating/plumbing systems; the successful engineer will be qualified so as to qualify the Charity for registration with Gas Safe.

You will be a team player, with excellent communication skills along with the ability to effectively plan and organise a wide yet challenging workload.
