Registered Manager (Children’s Home)
£33,071.06 – £36,965.47 per annum
37.5 hours per week

Following a recent restructure of our Children’s Home, we are seeking to appoint a Registered Manager to support the Head of Child Care Services in running an outstanding service for our children and young people. You’ll be allocated a specific area of responsibility and have overall management for a designated bungalow and staff team. Each of our bungalows are home to a maximum of 6 children and young people. This role will be busy and varied; you’ll take the operational lead for all safeguarding matters, ensure that all staff are effectively trained and supervised, provide strategic advice and support to develop the children’s home and school, whilst working closely with the Head of Residential Child Care Services to ensure a safe and professional environment for our staff, children and young people.

You’ll be working in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams across St Elizabeth’s, liaising with residents, families and external agencies so well developed interpersonal skills are essential. We’re looking for someone who has relevant experience of working with learning disabilities in either a care or educational setting who has experience of leading a team and mentoring staff. You’ll also need to have a relevant degree or equivalent professional qualification in Health & Social Care (at least at Level 4) or the ability to enrol on the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services within six months.

St Elizabeth’s is situated in 68 acres of Hertfordshire parkland between Harlow and Bishop’s Stortford. We support people with Epilepsy and other complex needs from the age of 5 through to 80 in our Children’s Home, School, College, Residential Homes with nursing and Day Centre.
