Job description

As the star of “24 Hours in A&E”, St George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is one of the best-known hospitals in Britain. St George’s is also one of the country’s largest teaching hospitals, treating over 500,000 patients every year, and has an international reputation for quality of care and cutting-edge treatment.  St George’s Hospital Charity is central to the Hospital’s continued success.

The Grants Department was established in March 2019 with the recruitment of its Grants Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for a Grants Administrator to join the Charity, working closely with the Grants Manager to increase the reach and impact of the St George’s Hospital Charity grants function.

The post holder will support the grants function across all aspects of its work taking pride in developing a respected operation, working in partnership with St George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, St George’s University and the local community.

The successful applicant will be a highly organised individual who enjoys bringing order to systems with a keen eye for detail, a questioning mind and the confidence to follow up with questions wherever necessary. They will be flexible and willing to adapt to requirements to bring their excellent administration skills to bear across all grant department activity. It is a role which could develop in a multifaceted way with a strong element of providing a service to our stakeholders and showing initiative.
