Job description

Please note successful candidates should expect to be appointed at the starting point of the salary scale and consideration may be given to a higher salary depending on the experience of the individual.

1 x Full-Time (35 hrs p/w) for Norfolk and 1 x Part-Time (17.5 hrs p/w) for Kent

If so, St Giles Trust is looking for a dynamic individual to join us as Community Champions Project Trainer and work on a ground-breaking and innovative new project – WREN, which will engage and enable disadvantaged women in three priority communities in the East and Southeast of England to become ‘Community Champions’.

About this vital role

Your focus will be to plan, develop and deliver quality accredited and non-accredited training programmes to learners and community organisations that fulfil the needs of our Community Champions model, taking into account each individual learner’s needs and to engage and support learners to complete their training programmes, working flexibly.

You will help to promote and market the training opportunities and work to identify and engage women eligible to take part in the relevant training programmes to enable them to become Community Champions. Also, as a key part of a larger Trainer and Assessor Team, you will lead on learning quality assurance and compliance for this project, while collecting feedback and evidence of the progress made by learners and undertaking the administration necessary for tracking learner progress are also key aspects of the role.

What we are looking for

  • Experience of working to targets and recording information to enable effective performance monitoring
  • Strong knowledge of the issues faced by women in accessing and sustaining training and volunteering
  • Sound understanding of the importance of quality assurance and of anti-discriminatory working practices
  • Ability to support / motivate learners with complex needs and to apply a creative approach to planning activities
  • A flexible, proactive and collaborative approach to your work
  • Strong interpersonal, prioritisation and communication skills, both verbal and written
