Are you a collaborative and proactive individual with extensive experience of delivering training to vulnerable adults and the ability to work with people who have multiple and complex needs?
If so, St Giles is looking for a Trainer Assessor to join our team and deliver an inspiring training programme leading to the achievement of NVQ Level 3 in Advice and Guidance.

Our successful candidate will be a part of a Peer Hub team that provides a high-level service to individuals with lived experience whilst working towards their NVQ Level 3 in Advice and Guidance.
About this pivotal role
As part of a larger Trainer Assessor team, which is at the heart of the Peer Advisor Network, you will plan and deliver an effective training programme, which will involve liaising with St Giles Trust staff and external partner organisations to identify and engage learners with the relevant skills, motivation and aptitude, plus interviewing applicants, completing assessment paperwork and assessing learning and other needs.
You will also work with learners to produce realistic individual learning plans and provide a comprehensive induction, and maintain and develop the range of work placement opportunities, matching learners to placements and ensuring positive and supportive relationships with placements hosts.
What we are looking for:
- Experience of working to targets and recording information and statistics to enable effective monitoring of performance against targets
- Knowledge of the issues faced by project participants in accessing and sustaining training or employment
- A proven capability to apply a creative approach to planning programmes and activities
- Ability to effectively assess evidence and identify assessment criteria using a range of assessment methods
- Excellent time management, prioritisation and communication skills, both verbal and written
- A professional, flexible and collaborative approach to your work
