The District New Volunteers’ Officer's role is to support the co-ordination of the attraction, recruitment, and induction of frontline volunteers across the District on behalf of the District Manager. This involves promoting volunteering opportunities, coordinating the selection of applicants, their induction to SJA and their training for role in direct partnership with HR, training, line managers and other internal stakeholders to recruit and retain new volunteers.
Part of the role is leading on recruitment of new volunteers in the district so required to attend & organise our selection events across the county so need to be available a number of weekends/evenings per year.
We are expanding our District New Volunteer Team. We are looking for someone who is passionate about providing an exceptional recruitment experience to our new volunteers.
- Attending PR Event to enhance application rates
- Supporting the DNVL with Selection Events
- Supporting at Welcome Events
- Being the "go to person" for recruitment related queries
- Supporting, advising and leading by example with our wider units.
- Admin related duties - We would prefer someone who is at least intermediate in MS Packages
Our ideal volunteer must have the following qualities:
- Kind and friendly nature
- Values driven
Ideally someone with some HR or Recruitment would be ideal however not essential as the District New Volunteer Lead will devise a structured training plan.
