The District New Volunteers’ Lead’s role is to support the co-ordination of the attraction, recruitment, and induction of frontline volunteers across the District on behalf of the District Manager. This involves promoting volunteering opportunities, coordinating the selection of applicants, their induction to SJA and their training for role in direct partnership with HR, training, line managers and other internal stakeholders to recruit and retain new volunteers.
This is a key role within the district, getting volunteers into the organisation. Making the volunteer journey as smooth as possible, ensuring that volunteers get the opportunities that they want. Open to anyone who feels that they can help people be the difference. We are a complicated charity and rightly have process in place to make sure that both our volunteers and the people that we help are safe, this does sometimes mean that joining us can be a bit of a steep slope - your job is to make sure that this is both an enjoyable process and a timely and compliant one. You'll organise and run the selection days as well as the welcome days for First aiders. We will ideally have 2 DNVLs located North and South as well as first aiders you'll assist HCPs - a Key and interesting role - APPLY NOW!
