Job description

As Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Lead at St John, you will deliver expert advice, change leadership and guidance alongside developing and implementing strategic policies, practices and action plans.

 

About the role

As Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Lead at St John, you will deliver expert advice, change leadership and guidance alongside developing and implementing strategic policies, practices and action plans.  Above all, your over-riding purpose will be to influence the organisational culture to one in which EDI is the driver for sustainable change.  You will also be the principle EDI advisor to the CEO, the Chief Commissioner, the Head of HR and to the Celebrating Communities Steering Group.  This will be an extremely challenging role which will ensure that, as an organisation, we discharge our specific legislative obligations as well as significantly contributing to the St John Values and cultural change expectations.

About you

You will need to be a special person to succeed in this role with a strong passion for fairness and equity and an in-depth understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion matters as they affect all St John people.  Previous experience of delivering EDI interventions and influencing positive change via a range of stakeholders is important.  Being able to inspire and drive delivery across a wide range of EDI areas in a complex organisation will require strong levels of resilience and perseverance and the ability to persuade at all levels of St John.
