We are currently looking for a National Equipment Manager to join our friendly, fast-paced Logistics team at St John Ambulance. Reporting to and working closely with our Head of Logistics, the National Equipment Manager will be responsible for ensuring outstanding operational delivery by ensuring that our people have access to appropriate and well-maintained equipment at all times. This is an excellent opportunity to join a developing team on a permanent, full-time basis, offering the flexibility of being based at any of our offices across England, as well as the opportunity for remote working.
In this exciting and varied role, you will ensure that all equipment and devices are procured, serviced, maintained, and repaired and disposed of in line with the needs of the organisation and manufacturers specifications. You will be responsible for leading on a variety of key tasks including leading on the relationships with suppliers, development of technical specifications for all SJA equipment and standardisation of medical equipment procurement.
You will also be responsible for maintaining a national asset register of all equipment and devices and advising senior managers on processes and building business cases for the procurement of new equipment.

*Please note that this role is currently under review by our job banding team and the salary will be dependent on the final decision on the banding of the role in line with our current pay structure.
You will have experience of managing a medical equipment servicing and inspection team and an excellent knowledge of medical equipment. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail as well as the ability to delegate and prioritise effectively. You will also have experience in standardisation and service improvement and ideally have experience in the purchase and supply of medical equipment.
