No one should die because they needed first aid and didn’t get it. St John Ambulance (SJA) teaches people first aid so they can be the difference between life and death, and you can help us do this.

SJA's West region is looking to strengthen support to university student volunteering. Through the LINKS programme and Student First Aid groups, we have hundreds of student volunteers within universities across the region and we are looking to both strengthen support and grow our commitment to engaging with students.

The Regional Student Volunteering Officer will be responsible for providing specialist advice and support to student volunteering units, District Managers and Area Managers. This will include working with key internal and external stakeholders to develop the student volunteering within the region. They are managed by the Regional Student Volunteering Lead and work within the wider regional and national team.

Regional Student Volunteering Officer support student volunteers both within their district and across the region. You will be responsible for ensuring the recruitment of new volunteers to Warwick and Coventry University Unit as well as supporting them in their activities throughout the year.

Volunteer will be expected to attend Warwick and Coventry University unit meetings periodically to provide support and check in on the status of the units. They will also take charge of the recruitment of new volunteers to each unit at the start of each academic year, as well as supporting training of new volunteers and providing support and advice to student volunteers across the region as required.
