About the Role
The Museum of the Order of St John tells the story of the Venerable Order of Saint John from its roots as a pan-European Order of Hospitaller Knights founded in Jerusalem during the Crusades, to its present commitment of providing first aid and care in the community through St John Ambulance and running an Ophthalmic Hospital in Jerusalem. The Museum has been welcoming visitors for over a hundred years!
As Tour Guide you will play a vital role in bringing this history to life and sharing it with our audiences. You will develop an expert knowledge of the topics covered in the tours and the historic buildings in which they take place, as well as working with the Museum and Events teams to support the delivery of audience engagement and commercial events programmes. You will take care of your own health & safety and that of others, checking the routes before the tour begins and raising any concerns to the Curator or Duty Manager.
