About the Role
St John Ambulance provides mental health courses which will help raise awareness of mental illness, enabling people to support themselves and others to aid recovery. Our courses are designed to reduce stigma through education and increase the provision of care for those who have a mental illness.
As a Mental First Aid Training Consultant, you will deliver Mental Health First Aid training courses to diverse groups to help people identify and support mental health issues. In this role you will be responsible for training an important and sensitive course, you must, therefore, be passionate about training while being engaging and empathetic to the needs of your delegates.

Ideally, you will have extensive experience of training and facilitating adult learners and while experience in delivering relevant specialist courses and workshops will be useful, full training for delivering these courses will be given. You must possess excellent interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively at all levels.
