Job Description

We are looking to recruit an Accommodation Officeron a permanent, full-time basis to join a pivotal service within our organisation, Clearing House.

The Clearing House service coordinates the Rough Sleepers Initiative partnership, providing access to supported social housing for clients with a history of rough sleeping. The aim is to maintain and strengthen existing partnerships across the sector, delivering an assessment and allocations service which meets the need of their clients and partners, and thereby offering an essential  accommodation option for those leaving hostels and other homelessness services. This is a high profile service commissioned by the GLA, with the opportunity to promote best practice in the sector and work on a unique project which is at the centre of London’s response to rough sleeping.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a small team responsible for assessing client referrals, sourcing housing for hundreds of former rough sleepers every year. The Accommodation Officerwill play a key role in the team by undertaking “desktop” client assessments and appropriately matching those clients to a suitable supported property. You will also be responsible for maintaining and developing relationships with a variety of stakeholders, delivering group training sessions for our partner agencies and maintaining computerised recording systems.

This would be an ideal opportunity for somebody with client support or assessment experience, with strong customer service skills looking to use their talents as part of an office based team.

You will be based in our Head Office near Tower Hill, London, although please note that in approximately 9 months our Head Office is likely to relocate to Stratford.

In return, we offer a range of benefits including a pension scheme, staff discounts scheme and initiatives to help you maintain a healthy work/life balance. We are also committed to providing our staff with a wide range of learning and development opportunities; in support of their personal and professional development.
