Permanent

Full time (37.5 hours per week)

The Sanctuary is part of the Bristol Mental Health Service, and provides a safe, welcoming and comfortable place for people aged 16 and over who are experiencing acute emotional distress, which may be associated with their mental health and for those seeking to prevent the onset of a crisis. The Sanctuary also provides services to people with a relationship to someone in crisis. 

 

In the role of Caseworker, you will be supporting individuals to recognize and develop their own strategies for crisis prevention and management, and to help them to utilize their own experience through sharing of problems and looking at alternatives and solutions to support their own recovery; and the recovery of others accessing the service. The Sanctuary is predominant an evening/night service and our shift pattern is Friday to Monday with s between 3 pm until 1 am.

 

We are looking for someone with knowledge and understanding of mental health issues, who has enthusiasm and passion for supporting people in, or at risk of crisis and who is committed to client involvement both in their own lives and in the ongoing development of the service. For this role staff can claim an additional 20% pay premium for unsocial hours worked as part of a day shift after 8pm or before 8am Monday to Friday as well as for all hours during day shifts worked on Saturday and Sunday.
