At St Mungo’s our vision is that everyone has a place to call home and can fulfil their hopes and ambitions. As a homelessness charity and housing association our clients are at the heart of what we do. We provide a bed and support to more than 2,700 people a night who are either homeless or at risk, and work to end homelessness and rebuild lives.
We recognise the fundamental importance of client involvement in helping clients to achieve their recovery goals; in giving them a voice and in improving the quality and effectiveness of our services. ‘Inclusive’ is one of our five core organisational values and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion are embedded in everything we do.
This is a brand new role within St Mungo’s and is an opportunity to really make a difference in improving the lives of our clients and in promoting Equality, Diversity and Inclusion in all of our work.
You will work in partnership with our seven Staff Diversity Networks, our Diversity and Inclusion Allies, Client Involvement Lead Workers, managers and other key stakeholders to support, coach and advise them in their involvement and inclusion activities. You will develop communications, guidance and training sessions, maintain our intranet page and facilitate a range of events and forums.

Engaging and involving excluded or vulnerable individuals
Designing and facilitating training sessions or workshops
Working with people with compassion and empathy
You will also need to have a good understanding of recovery, be able to work independently and be confident in championing client involvement and inclusion to your colleagues. You will have excellent communication skills, be able to effectively supervise volunteers and be able to work within professional boundaries.
