At St Mungo’s our vision is that everyone has a place to call home and can fulfil their hopes and ambitions. An exciting opportunity has become available in a new and dynamic pathway service in the London Borough of Hounslow.
As a Housing Progression Worker you will work with key workers, to support our clients move on from our services. You will also work with a case load of clients to ready to leave our services and live independently in the community.
The role is focussed on building resilience for our clients and ensuring that any move on from Hounslow LIFE, is sustainable and successful. You will have the support of a Housing Management team and a Private Rented Sector worker, who will source properties for our clients to move into.
The Hounslow LIFE service is a large multi-site service that currently has a staff team of 34 supporting 96 clients; covering specialisms such as Learning Difficulties, Mental health and Homelessness.
To be successful you will have a sound understanding of mental health issues, homelessness or substance use and of the difficulties that clients may experience when moving into new accommodation. You will also have experience of supporting people through case management and knowledge of housing legislation, welfare benefits and entitlements.
Overall, you will have a passion for supporting some of the most socially excluded individuals in the borough and ensuring that they have access to the same opportunities as other people in the wider community.
