Job Description

The role of the Night Worker is to provide tailored support to our residents during the night at our hostels or night shelters; taking a handover from the day staff team and giving a handover in the morning. The night worker needs to keep the building safe by doing regular health and safety checks, welfare checks, incident & locality management and some cleaning.

The Night Worker will need to take initiative and be able to self-motivate. They need to be friendly, kind and responsive to client’s needs and be willing to take time to provide personalised support to our residents during the night. You will have good communication skills with the ability to respond and interact effectively with residents and colleagues. These are really crucial roles and would be ideal for people who are looking to develop their career in the sector.

Above all we are looking for people who have a genuine interest in helping vulnerable adults to make changes in their lives and who have an understanding of the types of issues that affect vulnerable homeless people.
