Full Time (37.5 hours per week)
We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and inspirational leader to join the Westminster Street Outreach Service.
At St Mungo’s our vision is that everyone has a place to call home and can fulfil their hopes and ambitions. As a homelessness charity and housing association our clients are at the heart of what we do. We provide a bed and support to more than 2,700 people a night who are either homeless or at risk, and work to end homelessness and rebuild lives.
The Outreach Manager will oversee the day to day leadership and management of the Westminster Street Outreach Service. You will be responsible for building and maintaining productive relationships with stakeholders including the Local Authority, other homeless services and housing providers. In this role you will work with confidence when formulating reports and extracting data to demonstrate the rough sleeping themes within the borough and ensuring that staff resources and practice are delivered in such a way to support St Mungo’s ambition to half the number of rough sleepers found in the borough on any given night.
We are looking for someone who has experience of leading a service delivery team in a street or community outreach setting, experience of managing staff and volunteers in a fast paced environment; and an understanding of the issues faced by homeless or vulnerable people. If you are an excellent communicator who is able to build and maintain relationships within a team, with external agencies, Local Authorities and Commissioners we encourage you to apply.
In return, we offer a range of benefits including a pension scheme, staff discounts scheme and initiatives to help you maintain a healthy work/life balance. We are also committed to providing our staff with a wide range of learning and development opportunities; in support of their personal and professional development.
If you believe that you have what we are looking for, and have an interest in working for a charity which makes a real difference to the lives of people who are homeless, we encourage you to apply.
Please ensure that you read the comprehensive job description and person specification for the role. When applying please address the person specification, clearly setting out how you meet the requirements for the role.
