As a homelessness charity and housing association our clients are at the heart of what we do. We provide a bed and support to more than 2,700 people a night who are either homeless or at risk, and work to end homelessness and rebuild lives. Our work is ongoing, but, throughout the winter we will be providing more support to more people to ensure no one has to sleep rough throughout the coldest months of the year.
When working as an Outreach Worker you are involved in making contact with people sleeping rough, assessing their needs and delivering personalised case management; to support individuals to make the move away from the streets. Outreach Workers also work in partnership with multi-disciplinary teams and agencies.
We are looking for highly motivated people who share our ambition and have some experience of dealing directly with the public and/or customers in a busy service environment. Great communication skills and experience of working effectively with others is essential in this role.
This role will suit someone with experience in dealing with rough sleepers with multiple needs and the ability to work with challenging behaviour. You will also have some understanding of the issues faced by homeless or vulnerably housed people and the difficulties they experience in accessing services. If you have the ability to empower individuals to make positive changes and a willingness to develop these valuable skills we want to hear from you.

Flexibility is required as you will be working outreach shifts at unsocial hours in accordance with the rota that may include, early, late and night shifts.
