We provide a bed and support to more than 2,700 people a night who are either homeless or at risk, and work to end homelessness and rebuild lives.
We are looking for a confident and experienced individual to help the very busy Special Events team in delivering our five year events and celebrity strategy.
As the Special Events and Celebrity Executive, you will support the wider fundraising team to achieve a target of £10m. This is your chance to be part of a newly formed special events team that aims to change the way we reach and engage our supporters. You will help to develop a series of bespoke events to support the fundraising strategy and reviews and redefine the ambassador and celebrity strategy.
The successful candidate will be ready to hit the ground running and have experience, and a proven track record in organising bespoke and unique fundraising events within a busy setting. You will also have a demonstrable experience of achieving challenging fundraising targets. Excellent planning, organisation, project management and people skills are essential to this role, as is the experience of working with high net worth and high profile individuals and committees.
We are looking for someone who is a natural networker and industry contacts of their own, as well as a having the ability to build upon and nurture existing relationships with St Mungo’s ambassadors.
The role involves working closely with many different stakeholders within St Mungo’s, therefore the ability to build solid professional relationships not just externally, but internally too, is crucial for this role.
