Job description

Are you passionate about preventing homelessness?

Every night St Mungo's provide a bed and support to more than 3,150 people. We then stay with people past this point with projects to support them with their physical and mental health, and skills and employment. Our team makes a real difference in securing the funding without which these projects could not exist.

About the role

Our tight knit, positive and professional Trusts and Grants team is looking for someone to join us in funding projects which help people to recover from homelessness and rebuild their lives. This role is perfect for someone keen to build and develop their fundraising skills and experience.

As a Trust Fundraising Officer you will have the opportunity to get to know every part of our charity, becoming an expert in the work we do as well as the national homelessness picture. You will develop good working relationships with people across the charity to bring together statistical outcomes and emotive stories. You will write compelling fundraising proposals and reports to best represent the great work our teams do, and stay in regular contact with our funders by phone, post, email and in person.

You will manage a busy portfolio of small to medium trusts and family foundations (giving up to £10,000) and support the team to achieve their annual fundraising target – currently £1.4 million – with a personal target of around £180,000 per year.

Who we’re looking for

Strong written and interpersonal skills are essential, as are strong administration skills and the ability to prioritise tasks and manage deadlines. Experience in a trust fundraising role (or similar) is desirable.

If you have the skills, knowledge and drive that we are looking for, and are passionate about making a real difference to the lives of those experiencing homelessness, we would love to hear from you.
