Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the SVP as a Digital Media Officer. The ideal candidate will have previous experience of creating engaging digital content; analysing its reach and assessing its impact according to agreed KPIs. This role will be responsible for managing the Society’s websites and will have the opportunity to play a major part in developing and delivering an exciting new phase of the Society’s website strategy. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about marketing and digital content and has excellent communications skills. Working Hours = You will be contracted to work 37.5 hours per week

Location = Remote

Contract = Permanent

Salary = £23,000 - £26,000 dependent on experience (plus London Weighting Allowance of £2,632.50 if based within London)

YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Take a lead role in developing and implementing the organisation’s website strategy within the wider communications objectives
  • Develop and update content on our website, ensuring it is in line with UX, SEO and accessibility best practice
  • Create and update webpages and bespoke landing pages to improve website engagement
  • Set and review KPIs and produce regular performance reports on our digital impact using Google Analytics and other reporting tools
  • Plan and coordinate digital aspects of fundraising and advocacy campaigns, liaising with national and regional colleagues and members
  • Ensure all digital content reflects the SVP’s ethos, values and brand
  • Work in partnership with the Fundraising, Marketing and Communications team to protect and enhance the SVP’s reputation

 

WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE:

  • Education to degree level or equivalent work experience
  • A minimum of three years experience managing and developing digital channels
  • Experience planning and writing engaging digital content
  • Experience of planning and developing digital campaigns to support marketing, fundraising and advocacy objectives
  • Good knowledge of content management systems including Drupal and WordPress
  • Excellent IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office, social media management tools, content and contributor management systems, social networks and listening, evaluation and analytics tools
  • Good knowledge of content management systems including Drupal and WordPress
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – written, telephone and face to face with an ability to write and adapt content for a wide range of audiences
