Starlight Children’s Foundation is the national children’s charity that exists to preserve childhood throughout serious illness. We do this through our hospital play & distraction services, wish granting and Starlight Escapes. Access to play during serious illness is especially important as a contributor to successful treatment and healthy development. It enables children to grow and develop; and to experience childhood as it should be.
It’s an exciting time for Starlight as we plan our autumn/winter integrated campaign, launch a new website and develop our brand. If you’re experienced in planning and delivering PR campaigns and generating media coverage and have a passion for using those skills to help us grow our crucial work, then you could be the person we need to join our team.
We have some extraordinary stories to tell; with your extensive PR campaign experience and ability to sell-in stories to a wide variety of media outlets, you will help Starlight to become uppermost in people’s minds as a vital children’s charity.
Your ability to creatively and consistently tell emotive stories to engage with families, friends, medical staff and corporate partners will be central to us delivering on our strategy. Working alongside the Head of Marketing & Communications and the rest of the team, you’ll have a chance to help shape it too.
Above all, you will like nothing more than the buzz of finding compelling stories, selling them in and achieving great media coverage and engagement with all our audiences.
