Job description

Due to the continuing expansion of the Living Well team in Salford, START are looking for 2 full time Recovery Workers to join our organisation as part of a Multi-Disciplinary Team.

Are you passionate about helping people? Are you a team player who is motivated to deliver a high quality, person centred service? Do you have experience working in mental health? If so this role could be what you are looking for.

Salary: £24,480
Hours: Full-time 35 hours per week Monday to Friday
Contract: Fixed term until March 2024
Employers Pension Contribution: 5%
Holiday Entitlement: 28 days plus statutory holidays

Living Well is based on a proven model which has now been adapted and is being piloted in Salford and provides a new approach to supporting people with mental health issues. You will be a part of a programme which brings together people from statutory and VCSE settings, including peers with lived experience and is designed to help people to think differently about mental health support.

This is an exciting role which will play an important part in supporting people who are seeking help. As a Recovery Worker you will listen with empathy, understanding and compassion and create space for clients to feel truly heard.

The ideal candidate will be a great listener with a flexible approach and a flare for planning and prioritising a busy workload, whilst being adaptable and resilient.

Key Aspects of the Role:-

  • Providing face to face and telephone support to individuals.
  • Listening sensitively and recognising people’s strengths and potential.
  • Excellent record keeping and confidence when using computer systems and databases so experience here would be essential.
  • Empowering people to take control of their own wellbeing.
