Job description

Are you looking to pursue a career in Finance, either building on existing financial experience or apply your passion and skill set to a role in Finance? At Stewardship you will have an opportunity to sharpen your professional skills in a fast-paced, mission driven, and growing organisation.

With an annual income of £83m, and total fund portfolio of £123m, and ambitions to treble distributions from our Donor Advised Fund to £250m, we’re scaling up our internal finance team to help us manage this growth.  You will primarily take responsibility for maintaining purchase ledger, ensuring accurate processing of invoices from receipt to payment, and liaising with staff on accurate and efficient coding.  But, as part of a small but growing Finance team there will be opportunities to gain experience in a range of areas, from Charity Lending and deposits, to determining and implementing new processes.

You’ll be a safe pair of hands, maintaining and reconciling ledgers, ensuring accuracy and consistency of the data we input and process. 

In your role supporting the finance team, you will work closely with the Financial Analyst and Financial Accountant, looking after the internal accounting needs of Stewardship, and assisting in the delivery of financial services to our clients.

While the key task is to maintain accurate and up to date accounting records, other elements of the role add variety, client interaction and opportunities to develop elements of the role.

Salary: £23,000 - £25,000 (+ benefits)  depending on experience.
