Suffolk Family Carers is an innovative and creative charity, recognised nationally as the GSK Impact Award winner 2019 (see the film on our website). We provide a range of services to support adult, young adult and young carers across Suffolk and work in partnership with over 100 organisations to enable and empower family carers.
We have a new and exciting role to strategically lead and deliver on IT improvements across the organisation and expand our digital offers to family carers of all ages. This is a fantastic time to join a values-driven charity, in a role that combines innovation with hands-on delivery.
You will be innovative and a self-starter with the ability to think and act strategically, alongside strong technical knowledge and expertise. The ability to build successful relationships with managers, the marketing team, staff and our external IT contractor is essential, as well as a willingness to help to grow IT skills across the organisation.
Whilst some understanding of the charity sector is desirable, we welcome applicants from a wide range of backgrounds and sectors. You may be an experienced IT professional looking for more autonomy and creativity or considering transferring your skills to make a difference within the voluntary sector. A qualification in a relevant field is desirable, however we will consider applications from candidates with the right skills and experience.
There is flexibility around working hours, an attractive pension scheme and some great staff benefits. We hold staff and volunteers in high regard, listen and enable them to flourish and see their good ideas through to fruition.
Suffolk Family Carers is located on a business park, easily accessible from the A14 and 4 miles from the town of Ipswich. Suffolk is a lovely county to live in with picturesque seaside resorts, attractive market towns and rural villages and has mainline train services and good schools.
