Suffolk Wildlife Trust is the county’s nature charity. Our goal is for Suffolk to be nature-friendly, with wildlife able to thrive across Suffolk because everyone is doing more for nature.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to bring leadership to the management of our finances and human resources so as to enable us to do more to address the challenges that face the natural world.
Financial management is at the heart of the role, and the postholder will take overall responsibility for the Trust’s financial control, planning, compliance and reporting.
The Head of Finance & Resources is a member of the Trust’s Leadership Team and will work at a strategic level with the CEO and the Board to ensure the smooth running of the charity and its subsidiaries and the delivery of our five year strategic framework.
• Qualified ACA or ACCA accountant
• 5 years’ work experience in accounting or finance, ideally with experience in the charity sector
• Initiative and resourcefulness, to create opportunity and drive continued development
• Ability to work accurately under pressure
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Suffolk Wildlife Trust is the county’s nature charity – the only organisation dedicated wholly to safeguarding Suffolk’s wildlife and countryside. We are supported by 28,000 members and 1,300 volunteers, and care for nearly 8,000 acres of Suffolk's most precious habitats in our 50 nature reserves.
