Sunderland Students’ Union is an exciting, values-driven education charity that is dedicated to making the university experience of its members valuable for life.
We exist to support the 20,000 students at the University of Sunderland to make the time spent there valuable for life. Our core values and behaviours are ‘innovation and energy’, ‘fairness and equality’ and ‘empowerment and accountability’. We are proud to have been accredited with an ‘Investors in Diversity’ award for small charities, demonstrating our commitment to fairness, respect, equality, diversity, inclusion and engagement.
Working with the Student Opportunities Manager, the Wellbeing Coordinator will support the delivery and ongoing development of wellbeing activities at Sunderland SU. The postholder will coordinate the delivery of the Union’s wellbeing strategy and work, developing and delivering programmes to engage and support members in improving their wellbeing.
This role will focus on supporting our Buddies and Wellbeing Champion programmes as well as delivering key Wellbeing and EDI campaigns to create a supportive community of positive wellbeing where students thrive.
The post-holder will have an excellent comprehension of effective wellbeing policies, practices and procedures, including EDI, harm prevention, health and safety and safeguarding considerations.
